Pete Healey Sports – developing skills in safe hands

With an increasing demand for young children to develop sports skills at the earliest possible age, Pete Healey Sports Ltd is pleased to offer  classes to develop your child’s physical literacy.

Pete Healey Sports can offer sport specific coaching in Rugby, Football and Cricket. We have also developed an introduction to core skills and movement package that can be delivered in Schools and Nurseries.

The brands offered are;

Cricket Cubs

An Introduction to Kwik Cricket for U6’s. Using specially designed equipment, Kwik Cricket is a balance of games and skills for a safe & fun way to enjoy cricket.

Rugby Tykes

Fun based rugby classes for 2 to 6 yrs olds. Using games and drills to introduce core skills and movement. The unique approach builds confidence and offers a safe introduction to sport. Parent participation is key element in the success of the children learning and developing in the program.

Schools PE sessions.

This year, at Mitton Manor Primary School we have focussed on how we can develop the physical literacy of our children in our P.E. lessons. As staff we needed more ideas for skills and drills that we could do with our classes. Pete came in and delivered sessions across the whole school, working effectively with all year groups. He provided staff with a range of unique and fun ideas that could easily feed into our teaching approach to improve the teaching and learning of P.E. Staff now feel more equipped with ideas about how to develop physical literacy in P.E. and we have raised the expectations of what our children can achieve at a younger age. Pete was well organised, flexible and left us with plans which were helpful for completing future planning. Therefore we feel that these sessions have had a sustainable impact.
